Strengthening the Region’s LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS-impacted Communities

All of Persad’s counseling programs (mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, transgender care) are open to youth.

If you are overwhelmed, sad, confused, alone, unhappy, afraid, thinking of suicide, homeless, addicted, in a bad relationship, or just think you need to talk to someone, we want to help. Talking to someone can help during periods of extreme stress, or when emotions are strong and you need someone to someone to help you sort things out.

In Pennsylvania, individual private counseling is available to youth age 14 and up without parental notification. Youth who have drug or alcohol problems can receive counseling without their parent’s permission at any age. Counseling is provided by professionally trained therapists who specialize in services to LGBTQ youth.

You can get help at Persad even if you don’t have any money.

Counseling is also available for parents and families who need support.

Services are available at our Pittsburgh, Erie and Washington locations.
