In March 2012, Persad Center received a grant from the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of Family Health Division to provide LGBTQ cultural competency training to agencies participating in the state's Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP).

New Training Programs Available

Persad now certified to provide National Resource Center trainings on LGBT Aging.

Two training programs are available: one for LGBT groups to sensitize them to issues of ageism and the realities that LGBT individuals face when getting older. The second program is for individuals working the elderly or in aging services.
