UPDATE: This event has been cancelled due to unforseen circumstances
Thanks to all who registered, but due to unforeseen circumstances, the June 7 event has been cancelled. We hope to reschedule for the Fall of 2018.
Presented by UPMC Center for Engagement and Inclusion and PERSAD Center
You're invited to a speaking engagement and Q&A session with author Amy Ellis Nutt, discussing her best-selling book "Becoming Nicole: The Transformation of an American Family." The book is the inspiring true story of a transgender girl, her identical twin brother, and an ordinary American family’s extraordinary journey to understand, nurture, and celebrate the uniqueness in us all, from the Pulitzer Prize-winning science reporter for The Washington Post.
The author will take questions from the audience, and will be followed by a youth-centered panel discussion featuring members of the region’s transgender community, moderated by Morgan Faeder, Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Western Psychiatric Institute.
