Michael Sullivan
Michael Sullivan, LCSW
He/Him
Michael is dedicated to building and leading high-quality, impactful behavioral health programs that respond to the needs of the communities they serve. He holds a Master of Social Work from Nazareth University and brings 30 years of experience spanning executive clinical leadership and compassionate, trauma-informed direct care. After 16 years away, Michael is thrilled to return to Pittsburgh and contribute his experience and leadership to the community he is proud to call home again.
Throughout his journey, Michael’s had the privilege of guiding multi-disciplinary teams and designing clinical protocols for residential, outpatient, and substance use disorder programs. Whether leading teams as a Clinical Director, ensuring top-tier compliance as a Quality Assurance Director, or serving as an Accreditation Surveyor, his goal is always to elevate standard of care practices.
Michael’s approach is grounded in collaborative planning, inclusion, and the belief that effective therapy should be dynamic and client centric. As a dedicated educator with a background in recreation and park management from Penn State, he also brings unique proficiency in outdoor and experiential education and is always looking for new opportunities to collaborate, build resilient teams, and establish long-term clinical excellence.
Michael loves spending time outdoors, whether camping, trail running, hiking, kayaking, fishing, or biking. When he’s not traveling with his partner and son, reading, enjoying live music, or cheering on Pittsburgh and Penn State sports (WE ARE!), you’ll most likely find him in the kitchen, trying out a new recipe or creating something delicious.
