Youth - Counseling

If you are overwhelmed, sad, confused, alone, unhappy, afraid, thinking of suicide, homeless, addicted, in a bad relationship, or just think you need to talk to someone, we want to help.

All of Persad’s counseling programs (mental health, substance abuse, domestic violence, HIV/AIDS, transgender care) are open to youth.

In Pennsylvania, youth can receive mental health counseling services without their parent’s permission at the age of 14. Youth who have drug or alcohol problems can receive counseling without their parent’s permission at any age.

You can get help at Persad even if you don’t have any money.

If you think you might need to talk to someone, call 412-441-9786.

To get started in our Pittsburgh office or for more information about our services, please contact our Admissions Coordinator: Jo Ellen Smith at 412.441.9786 extension 222 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
